gnomic verse (new math / old math)   [rubai]

Count your smiles   instead of your tears
hug your courage   instead of your fears
tally your blessings   skipping your woes
sum your wisdom   instead of your years

Having seen the first 2 lines as (presumably) a traditional gnomic verse, I modified them slightly [well, substituted the word "hug" for a repetitive "Count"], and then appended the concluding 2 lines, thus transforming couplet into quatrain. (Claim of authorship comes with the above disclaimer.)
